Census deadline changed yet again
So the deadline for Census 2020 returned to its original date, October 31, only to be changed again to October 15. The Census Bureau honored an October 15 postmark as long as it was received by today, October 22.
As of September 25, the village had reached a 73% response rate. The village will provide a final response rate when it becomes available.
Census deadline is September 30
The Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson still needs to push to respond to the Census 2020. The deadline is Wednesday, September 30.
The village has reached 73% mark with a week to go but is still far from 100%. If you have internet access, you can respond here: my2020census.gov/login. If you don’t have the census mailer, you can go here: my2020census.gov/app/intro/state. If you prefer to respond by phone, or have questions, call: 844-330-2020.
Census results will guide lawmakers regarding where to distribute more than $675 billion in federal funding to infrastructure, schools, firefighters, hospitals, libraries and other vital services in Orange County.
Census data also informs how federal funding will be used toward hundreds of programs in the county, including Medicaid, Head Start and block grants for mental health services.
Let’s be counted, Cornwall-on-Hudson!
