Entrance to Donahue Memorial Park at Shore Road near Gazebo will be closed Monday, August 31, 2020, at 9:00am until Thursday, September 03, 2020, 9:00am
Starting on Monday, August 31, 2020, at 9:00am until Thursday, September 03, 2020, 9:00am, CSX Railroad will be doing railroad repair work and repaving at the Shore Road Railroad Crossing area/ closest to the Riverfront Park Gazebo (north end of Riverfront Park). Anyone wishing to visit either Donahue Riverfront Memorial Park and/or the Cornwall Yacht Club will have to enter via the Dockhill Road/ Shore Road entrance.
CSX Railroad will “set- up” Road Detour Signs at the Shore Road and Wood Avenue intersection for any vehicles traveling southbound on Shore Road.
PLEASE NOTE: The original Press Release which depicted the closing of the other CSX Railroad Closing (south end of Shore Rd), was mistakenly and falsely provided to this agency by CSX Railroad Repair Scheduling Staff. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Village Board of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will hold a public hearing on May 20, 2019 at 7:00 P.M., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard at Village Hall, 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York 12520 on a local law to amend Village Code Chapter 155 to designate “No Parking” and “No Standing” areas on Mountain Road.
A copy of the proposed local law is available for review [here] and at the Clerk’s Office located in Village Hall at the address listed above, during normal business hours. Written comments may be submitted prior to or at the public hearing. Oral comments may be made at the public hearing. Persons may appear in person or by agent. The Village Board is the Lead Agency pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA) for this Unlisted Action.
The Village of Cornwall-on Hudson will make every effort to assure that the Public Hearing is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone requiring special assistance and/or reasonable accommodations should contact the Village Clerk.

A LOCAL LAW REGULATING THE INSTALLATION AND USE OF OUTDOOR LIGHTING WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON
NYS requires address identification for all buildings to facilitate 911 emergency responses. The displayed numbers shall be installed on the front of the building and shall contrast with their background. Characters shall not be less than 4 inches in height with a stroke width of not less than ½ inch and must be visible from the street. Address numbers shall be alphabetical letters and Arabic numbers. Numbers are not to be spelled out. Where access is by means of a private road and the building address cannot be viewed from the public way, a monument, pole or other sign or means shall be used to identify the structure. Address identification shall be maintained. Please comply within 90 days Reference NYS building code R319.1

In response to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), I want to inform you of additional steps the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson is taking to continue to function and provide services.
Village Hall Offices will be closed as of today, Tuesday, March 17, 2020, until Monday, March 30, 2020, at which time the Village Board will determine whether it is safe to open. We will continue to conduct Village business.
The Village Board Election has been postponed to Tuesday, April 28, from Wednesday, March 18.
You may continue to pay bills through the dropbox marked BILLS on the side of Village Hall to safeguard the health of residents and village employees and limit interaction.

At this time, the March Village Board Business Meeting is still scheduled for 7 p.m., Monday, March 23.
The Comprehensive Plan Committee will be holding an information meeting on its plan at a date to be announced.
More broadly, take care of yourselves, your family and neighbors. Follow the guidelines of the Center for Disease Control regarding hygiene and isolating. Be grateful for our health professionals, first responders and all those who are providing services.

Repairs of Hudson Street due to new gas line installation
Crews from Blacktop Maintenance Corporation will be performing the repairs on Hudson St from Maple Ave to the Top of Dockhill Rd.
The work is tentatively scheduled to start on Monday April 20 2020 with work starting on the North bound lane.
On Tuesday April 21st thru Friday April 24th the South bound lane will be milled and paved. There will be NO PARKING on that side during working hours (7:30am until 5:00pm) as they will be milling and paving from curb to center line. They will be posting NO PARKING SIGNS.
