NOTICE: 2011 Tax
Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York

NOTICE is hereby given that pursuant to Section 1428 of the Real Property Tax Law, the Warrant and the Tax Roll for the Collection of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson has been filed with the Village Treasurer for the Fiscal Year 2011 to 2012. Taxes will be received beginning March 1, 2011 at the Village Office, 325 Hudson St., Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y., daily from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 1 PM to 4 PM except Saturdays, Sundays and Legal Holidays until and including April 2, 2011, without penalty.

Beginning April 3, 2011, a five percent penalty will be added for the month of April and an additional one percent for each month thereafter until paid.

Tax Books will remain open until the 31st day of October 2011 when they will be closed and any amount remaining unpaid will be turned over to the Commissioner of Finance of the County of Orange.

Penalty interest will be five percent for April, six percent for May, seven percent for June, eight percent for July, nine percent for August, ten percent for September and eleven percent for October.

For your convenience, taxes may be paid by check or money order and forwarded by mail, for which an official tax receipt will be returned.

Section 11-1118 of the Village Law provides that any unpaid water rents shall be included in the annual tax levy and included in computing penalties.

    VILLAGE OF CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON PLANNING BOARD

    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

    PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 7:45 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard at the Village Hall, 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520 to consider an amendment of a prior site plan approval for property located at 202-206 Hudson Street, Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson, New York.

    The site plan amendment proposes to reconfigure the uses of the "Klosky" house to locate two (2) apartments on the ground floor and a professional office on the second floor. Additionally, in connection with various lot line adjustments, parking areas for the "Klosky" house, the two (2) frame barns and the former DPW building all will be modified. The entire property is in the SR (Suburban Residential) Zoning District with the Central Business and Shopping overlay. The involved tax map parcels are Section 104 Block 1 Lots 63, 64 and 29.1

    The application and plans may be inspected at the Village Planning Board office during normal business hours.     PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Planning Board of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 7:30 P.M. at the Village Hall, 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY 12520 to consider preliminary approval of the proposed ten (10) lot residential subdivision of 7.1 acres of property located at Pine Street and West Street and to consider granting visual site plan approval for those proposed lots either wholly or partially within the View Preservation Overlay District.

    The subdivision proposes eight (8) new homesites as well as the conversion of the existing detached garage structure to a residence on its own new lot and the creation of a new lot for the existing residential structure. The lots range in size from 15,000 SF to 87,169 SF. A portion of the property is in the View Preservation Overlay District. The entire property is in the SR (Suburban Residential) Zoning District. The involved tax map parcels are Section 101 Block 1 Lot 12 and Section 102 Block 19 Lots 2 and 3. The lots will access Pine or West Streets except Lot 2 will access Idlewild Drive.

    The application and plans may be inspected at the Village Planning Board office during normal business hours.     Zoning Board Notices

    NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
    ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
    VILLAGE OF CORNWALL-ON-HUDSON

    PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Village of Cornwall-on-Hudson will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at 7:30 P.M. or as soon thereafter as can be heard, at the Village Hall, 325 Hudson Street, Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY to consider the application of Pointe Equities, LLC for variances from Section 172-14.1.C(4) of the Village Code to permit the issuance of a building permit to construct an in-ground swimming pool and retaining wall that are setback only 52.5 feet and 46.25 feet respectively from a Class III Steep Slope where a 75 foot Steep Slope Buffer Zone is required.

    The property is located at 11 Taft Place and is designated on the Village Tax Maps as Section 108, Block 2, Lot 16. The property is located in the SR (Suburban Residential) Zoning District.

    At the hearing the Zoning Board of Appeals will consider all verbal and/or written statements from all persons interested. Copies of the application and plans may be inspected at the Village Hall during normal business hours.
