Chief Paul Weber, Esq.: Chief Weber started his career in 1991 with the City of Newburgh Police Department, graduating at the top of his academy class. He transferred to the Village of Cornwall P.D. in 1996 (reaching the rank of Sergeant in 2001) and then transferred back to the City of Newburgh P.D. in 2005. During his career in the City of Newburgh, the Chief held the ranks of Detective (narcotics) and Sergeant (Professional Standards/Patrol). He has been a member of the SWAT and SCUBA teams. Additionally, he is a certified defensive tactics instructor as well as a FBI certified firearms instructor. Chief Weber attained his Bachelors degree in Business Management from Southern Connecticut State University in 2000, his masters in Business Administration from Quinnipiac University in 2003 and his law degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2003. Chief Weber is a practicing attorney and an instructor at the Orange County Police Academy. |

Current OfficersPO John Antinori: Officer Antinori began his career in law enforcement back in 1984 with the Town of Cornwall P.D., transferring to the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. in 1998. He is currently employed as a teacher in the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. PO Antinori earned a Bachelors degree from S.U.N.Y New Paltz and a masters degree in education from N.Y.U.. He has certifications in Community Oriented Policing and Juvenile Custody as well as a certification as a Master SCUBA diver. PO Antinori also holds a Merchant Marine Document as a licensed Captain. PO Seth Armstrong: Officer Armstrong started his police career in the Village of Fishkill in 2003, transferring to the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. in 2004. He is currently employed full-time by Rockland County BOCES as a Health and Safety Tech and instructor and he is the former Chief of the Fort Montgomery Fire Department. PO Armstrong earned his Bachelors degree in Arson Investigation from the University of New Haven in 1999, he is a Certified First Responder and he is a DOT certified Bus Accident Investigator. PO Steven Bailey: Officer Bailey started his police career in 1996 with the Town of Highlands P.D.. He additionally worked for the NYS Dept of Environmental Protection (2001-2003) before starting his career with the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. in 2006. PO Bailey is currently employed full-time with Titan Armored and he holds several tactical officer certifications. He is a certified SCUBA instructor for both PADI and SDI. Additionally, he is a certified Bicycle Patrol officer and has been trained in Fraudulent Document detection. PO William Frattarola: Officer Frattarola has been a certified police officer since 1989, beginning his career in the Putnam Valley P.D.. In 1997, after the Putnam Valley P.D. was dissolved, he transferred to both the Town of Cornwall P.D. and the Town of Lewisboro P.D., all the while being employed in a full-time capacity as a real estate agent. PO Frattarola left the Town of Cornwall and began his career working for the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. in 2004. Amazingly, he is also an active patrolman with the Village of Brewster P.D.. Officer Frattarola has a Bachelors degree from Penn State University and he is a much sought-after lecturer/instructor on the topic of Domestic Violence. PO Charles Hofmann: PO Hofmann has been a member of both the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. and Town of Marlborough P.D. since 1990. While he is currently retired from mechanic work, he was the owner/operator of several local vehicle repair shops in the past. Officer Hofmann attended S.U.N.Y. Albany. PO George Krause: Officer Krause started his law enforcement career with Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. back in 1984, transferring to the Town of New Windsor P.D. in 1987. He retired from the NWPD in 2007 as a highly decorated member of the K-9 unit and returned to the C-o-H P.D. in 2009. PO Krause is a FBI certified Defensive Tactics instructor and O.C. Spray instructor and he holds an Associates degree in Criminal Justice from Orange County Community College. He currently works full-time as a contractor in West Point. PO Michael Lug: Officer Lug joined the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. in 1989. He is a certified Department of Criminal Justice instructor in the following topics: Auto Crimes and Insurance Fraud, RADAR/LIDAR, Aerosol Restraint, Conducted Energy Devices, DWI Detection and SFST. PO Lug is also certified by TASER International as a TASER Instructor. He is a frequent lecturer/instructor at the Orange County Police Academy as well as for many area police departments. PO Lug has a Bachelors degree from Marist College and he is also currently employed by the Town of Marlborough P.D.. Officer Lug recently retired from full-time employment with the Cornwall School district. PO Raymondhan Maeang: Officer Maeang started his law enforcement career in 2006 with the Town of New Windsor P.D. and shortly thereafter, he joined the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D.. PO Maeang speaks several different languages and he is a Staff Sergeant with the US Marine Reserves, completing an active tour of duty in Iraq in 2008. Officer Maeang is certified in Rapid Deployment. PO Jill Nye: Officer Nye has been a member of the Cornwall-on-Hudson Police Department since 2001. During that time, she has taken over as the lead D.A.R.E. instructor, teaching courses at both the C-o-H Elementary School and St. Thomas Elementary School. She is currently a full-time dispatcher with the Town of New Windsor P.D. and she holds certifications in School Violence, Sex Crimes Investigations, Basic Criminal Investigations, and Interview and Interrogation. PO John Pena: Officer Pena began his career as a part-time officer with the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. back in 2001. In 2005, he was hired full-time by the City of Newburgh and in 2007, he transferred back to the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D., now as a full-time officer. PO Pena completed the Advanced Narcotics Training Course offered by H.I.D.T.A. and he is certified in OC Spray, ASP Baton, and TASER. PO Arthur Terwilliger: PO Terwilliger
began his career with the Washingtonville P.D. back in 1998. After a
brief hiatus from law enforcement, he started with the Town of Marlborough
P.D. in 1999 and then with the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. as a part-timer
in 2000. Officer Terwilliger was then hired full-time by the Orange
County Sheriff’s Dept. and then soon transferred his full-time
status to the Cornwall-on-Hudson P.D. He has continually maintained
his status with the Town of Marlborough P.D. since 1999. Officer Terwilliger
holds certifications in Fraudulent Documents, Bicycle Patrol, and Crime
Scene and Evidence Specialist. |
Recent AdditionsPO Robert Dowd: Officer Dowd is a recently retired 20-year veteran of the NYPD, bringing with him a wealth of experience and knowledge. During his decorated career with the NYPD, PO Dowd has been assigned as a Detective in the Organized Crime Control Bureau, the Precinct Detective Squad, and the Bronx Robbery squad. He was promoted to the rank of patrol Sergeant in 2001. PO Dowd holds a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from St. Thomas Aquinas College. He is currently employed full-time as a Sergeant with the Department of Veterans Affairs Police Department conducting criminal investigations. PO Thomas Moran: PO Moran has been a member of the Cornwall on Hudson P.D. on and off since 1978, recently returning in 2010 for his third term. During those years, he has worked full-time for the Department of Environmental Conservation (1988 through 2001) and the Westchester County District Attorney’s office as a Criminal Investigator (2001 through 2010). PO Moran is an FBI certified firearms instructor and he was awarded the Orange County Chiefs of Police “Officer of the Year” in 1994 for saving the life of a 15-year old stabbing victim here in Cornwall-on-Hudson. PO William Nickel: Officer Nickel recently retired as a crime scene Detective from the Town of Newburgh P.D. after 20 years of service. During his career with the Town of Newburgh, he was a member of the SWAT team and the Boating Unit and was the recipient of numerous awards, including the distinguished Special Congressional Recognition award for his pivotal work in a recent homicide investigation. PO Nickel has also been on the Discovery Network for his role in the investigation of a separate high-profile homicide case. Officer Nickel is currently working toward his Bachelors degree. PO Christopher Lahar: Officer Lahar
is the latest addition to our patrol force, currently employed full-time
by the City of Newburgh P.D.. Prior to his start with the City of Newburgh
in 2006 and while still attending college, PO Lahar frequently dedicated
his own time to assist the City of Newburgh P.D. by making narcotics
purchases throughout the city, leading to numerous search warrants,
arrests and narcotics/weapons confiscations. Officer Lahar has been
a member of several pro-active arrest units and is currently assigned
to the narcotics division. He is working on a Bachelors degree from
Mount St. Mary College. |
